About us

CSAS supports over 4,000 people from across the voluntary and community sector in London.

The project was set up in October 2002 with the aim to:
  • Support the voluntary sector in participating in effective crime prevention
  • Provide advice and information
  • Facilitate partnership working
  • Challenge racism where it arises
  • Raise awareness of the issues faced
  • Offer solutions and best practice examples

CSAS is funded by London Councils and managed by London Action Trust, a charity which works to break the cycle of offending and so create safer communities in Greater London.

We provide the following services: Advice and Information, Training, Representation and Liaison. We prioritise small community groups with three or fewer employees. We work with organisations that support a range of target groups including young people, black and minority ethnic communities, victims, women, older people and people with disabilities. Our Project Advisory Group is representative of the wider community safety voluntary sector and helps us to target services accordingly.
