Supporting Victimised Communities
This project works with BAMER (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee), LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) and other communities who are disproportionately affected by crime in London to enable them to run their own crime reduction projects and to increase their collective voice to influence policy makers.
The project will deliver high quality individual support to community groups and voluntary organisations by:
- Improving their infrastructure, resources and confidence in order to enable them to work in partnership with statutory agencies and have their voices heard.
- Creating an information and best practice sharing network
- Offering high quality training and support in; understanding the criminal justice system, communicating key messages, and how to effectively engage with policymakers.
